TLDR: foto più lunghe del solito.
Nel mio perenne studio delle tecniche dell'arte fotografica, una delle mie più grandi fonti di ispirazione è stata
Nick Carver.
Da lui ho imparato tutto (pochissimo) quel che so sulla fotografia analogica, sul medio formato, sui banchi ottici, sulla stampa,
e tante altre cose sono super interessanti su cui non ho mai avuto la (s)fortuna di mettere mano.
L'unica cosa che ho effettivamente potuto integrare nel mio lavoro è stata la fotografia panoramica. Ovviamente si tratta solo
di un'imitazione digitale rispetto a ciò che fa Nick.
Lui usa un banco ottico e pellicola 6x17 (ovvero, pellicola di formato 6cm x 17cm, da cui il nome della galleria), mentre io scatto
con la mia Fujifilm e poi o incollo digitalmente più foto insieme, o semplicemente ritaglio le foto in post-produzione.
In ogni caso, in questa galleria raccolgo tutte le foto scattate con questa filosofia. Hanno formati diversi, ma tutte più lunghe del normale: che sia un panorama o altro, sono immagini che trovo particolarmente cinematografiche, e soprattutto stimolanti e divertenti da creare.
Particolarmente sconsigliata la visione da smartphone.

In my perpetual study of photographic art techniques, one of my greatest sources of inspiration has been
Nick Carver.
From him I learned everything (very little in fact) I know about analog photography, medium format, view cameras, printing,
and many other super interesting things I've never had the (mis)fortune to get my hands on.
The only thing I've actually been able to integrate into my work has been panoramic photography. Obviously it's only
a digital imitation compared to what Nick does.
He uses a view camera and 6x17 film (that is, 6cm x 17cm format film, hence the gallery name), while I shoot
with my Fujifilm and then either digitally stitch multiple photos together, or simply crop the photos in post-production.
In any case, in this gallery I collect all the photos taken with this philosophy. They have different formats, but all longer than normal: whether it's a panorama or something else, these are images I find particularly cinematic, and above all stimulating and fun to create.
Viewing on smartphone is particularly discouraged.
