Non è semplicissimo spiegare a parole cosa intendo per texture. È meglio guardare le immagini e farsi un'idea.
Se proprio dovessi provarci, direi che queste immagini sono composte per la maggior parte da un solo "materiale", inteso nel senso più ampio della parola. Le immagini vanno dal micro al macroscopico, ma tutte cercano di astrarre un luogo e ridurlo ai minimi termini.

If I really had to try, I would say that these images are mostly composed of a single "material", in the broadest sense of the word. The images range from micro to macroscopic, but all try to abstract a place and reduce it to its bare minimum.
